Yu Nancheng
Yu Nancheng was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province in 1956 and lives in Shanghai at present. He studied painting early in his childhood and has been engaged in art creation for almost 40 years. In the last few years he broke new ground in the field of oil painting by his own art style. The oil is painted layer by layer with the palette knife. Using traditional "China Red" as the main element to present his ideas, combined with different somewhat misty and faraway temporal and spacial backgrounds, he presents powerful visual impact, warmth, ardor and lasting aftertaste, and draws the admirers into their dynamic vitality. Nowadays there are fantastic series in works of "Tai Chi", "The Quintessence of Chinese Culture", "New Shanghai", "Dancers" and "Flowers". His artworks have been exhibited across China and collected in and abroad, including various art institutions and art collectors in different regions and countries. He not only has been interviewed several times by different channels like International Channel Shanghai (ICS) and Art & Culture Channel Shanghai, but also widely reported by mass media. His artworks were exhibited in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Singapore in these years. Now you may stroll and appreciate his artworks in England Li Kailin Contemporary Fine Art, Brussels and Shanghai Nancy's Gallery in Tianzifang.
